The noKeys controller is installed on the electrical board of each hotel and has the following connections:

  • With the hotel’s active network equipment to communicate with the cloud application
  • With the keypad on the space door
  • With the electric lock on the door of the space

In addition, one of the controllers will also be connected to an IoT device that can unlock the main entrance of the accommodation.

How does the visitor enter the hotel?

  • At the entrance of the hotel, he responds from his cellphone to a predetermined number that is sent with a message before his arrival and the noKeys system opens the door
  • At the entrance of the room, he / she enters the number of his / her mobile phone or whatever number the manager selects on the numeric keypad next to the door and noKeys opens the door

How is the property managed through the application?

  • The noKeys controller communicates with the cloud application via the Internet for every site. It informs them about the numbers assigned to each visitor and defined as their keys.
  • The administrator enters into the application the name of the guest of each room along with his mobile phone number and the period for which he was leased.
  • The application informs the controller of the phone number that will function as the key of the room before the lease commences, and upon expiry the number ceases to function as the key.

In the same way as the visitors do, the mobile phones of the cleaning and repair shops are key to the hotel’s premises such as the rooms and the storage rooms. In this case the number when selecting the administrator acts as a key for a limited time and some days, depending on the cleaning or repair program.

The main features of the application are the following:

  • It gives a brief overview to the manager of all areas of the hotel operated through the platform. The information includes current and future bookings, the number of guests staying in the current date in each room, and can summarize the number of rooms the administrator has connected to the platform and the history of their bookings.
  • With the booking schedule the manager can have a brief overview of all bookings for the accommodation both in terms of start and end times, as well as who has booked and how many people will stay in each room.
  • It enables the manager to control each room individually and to be able to complete bookings manually or (future) automatically. This way it can control whether it is possible to make a reservation without coinciding with one that has been made earlier.
  • Allows the administrator to view the history of each room’s reservations.
  • It allows the manager to add more than one guest to a room, so everyone with their mobile phones can enter the hotel.
  • Allows the administrator to set keys for cleaning and repairing their mobile phones. These will apply for specific hours and days and as a result they will not be able to enter the hotel premises at hours and days other than those specified.
  • Through the cloud application, the administrator can be informed about the hours and days of the hotel’s entry into the hotel and the places they have access to, so that he knows in each case the start and end times of the work they have undertaken.
